March 13, 2020: Easter Update in Response to Covid-19

The health and safety of the elderly in our community and our volunteers is of utmost importance to us. Therefore Little Brothers – Friends of the Elderly is cancelling our Easter dinners, Easter home meal deliveries, and Easter holiday visits. We are committed to providing our other services, some with modifications to ensure everyone’s safety. We came to this decision after thoughtful consideration based on the information from the CDC and the Western Upper Peninsula Health Department regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19).

During this time, we want to remind everyone to look out for your elderly neighbor with a phone call or by offering to pick up prescriptions or groceries. If you find someone in urgent need, please call Little Brothers – Friends of the Elderly. If you are healthy and have more time to volunteer, please let us know as we anticipate more requests for help from our elderly community.
