Check with your employeer about matching gifts – your contribution could go twice as far! And while we are not a United Way agency, if you participate in a workplace giving campaign you can designate Little Brothers to receive your contribution.
Working with your colleagues and community, you can organize a fundraising event such as a bowl-a-thon, a golf outing, dinner, or picnic. We welcome your ideas, your energy and your community spirit.
Your company or community group can sponsor activities and events for Little Brothers – Friends of the Elderly. Your gift can underwrite a holiday party, a summer picnic, or a month of medical escorts to name just a few examples.
Bequests and Planned Gifts
Bequests are gifts provided by way of a will. By naming Little Brothers – Friends of the Elderly, Upper Mighigan as a beneficiary in your will or life insurance policy, you ensure that we will be able to serve lonely elderly people in your name far into the future.
Donations of office supplies and other items help us keep our overhead low. We also appreciate donations of in-kind services such as IT and mechanic. During holiday seasons, organizing friends or coworkers to gather gifts is another great way to help.
You may organize food drives individually or with a church, school, or other group. By collecting nonperishable goods for our food pantry, you supplement meals for elders on a limited budget.
