Thanksgiving and Christmas Holiday Celebrations


Little Brothers – Friends of the Elderly invites people age 60 years and older to join us for a traditional holiday celebration and meal on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. Volunteers are needed for a variety of roles including cooking, setting the dining room, serving the meal, cleaning, driving the elders to and from the party, delivering meals to the home-bound, providing musical entertainment, and visiting elders in the nursing home.

Dinner will be served at the sit-down meal sites at 2:00pm on both Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Hot meals will be delivered from the dedicated home-meal delivery sites at 12:00pm on both Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Gifts and flowers for home visits to our elderly Forever Friends who reside at the Houghton County Medical Care Facility will be available to be picked up on Thanksgiving and Christmas between 9:00am and 1:00pm from our office located in Hancock.
